Transformation in The Trees: A Yoga and Meditation Retreat | October 9-11

A magical weekend full of grounding and growing.

This place is truly magical- tree houses and screened in bungalows and huts sprinkled in the forest of swampy South Georgia. From the labyrinth to the lake, the geodesic domes to the gratitude circle before supper, this place will open and warm your heart. I feel that we are all seeking connection and it is so difficult in this isolating world that we allow ourselves to be truly free. This is a weekend to put down your cell phone and look at you.

Eat

Vegetarian dinners are provided each evening and you are welcome to cook breakfasts, snacks and lunches in the kitchen! If you are coming to the retreat with a buddy, you could plan meals together! There is a very large refrigerator at the hostel for any food you would like to bring as well. Booze is welcome to be enjoyed responsibly! (But hey, we will be on vacay!)

One of the perks of the hostel is their plethora of DELICIOUS fresh eggs brought to you by the resident birdies! You will enjoy the company of your winged-friends throughout the weekend and may even be lucky enough to wake up in time to snatch an egg or two!

Coffee! Everyone wants to know about coffee! Breathe! Dont worry! YES! Coffee in the morning. In fact, PERC Roasters of our very own Savannah, Ga makes a blend JUST for the forest! There’s no cup like home.

Sleep

Remember summer camp? It’s kinda like that but even better! (No counselors!) You stay in tree houses, screened-in huts and there are also a few bedrooms connected to the main building. These beautiful bungalows have incredible murals offering something special and unique to each one!

The beds vary in size but have a similar mattress to those of camp. There are pillows, clean sheets and blankets available at the hostel but if you have your favoritttteee [insert whatever sleepy time creature feature here] then bring it! It may be chilly at night so pack mindfully.

If you are coming with a friend or lover we will absolutely bunk you together! The Hostel is an open and supportive place, richly steeped in Community. SO- there may be a chance that you will bunk with a new yogi friend- YAY! We will of course honor and respect preference and privacy. We will work to make you happy!

Move

We will begin and end our days with yoga and meditation. I will be hosting a few special workshops throughout the days! Please attend as many sessions as you like!

Expect to sweat and move, relax and restore. The yoga and meditation I will be offering is available for all people, all levels, all bodies. If you have injuries or health concerns, please reach out to me and we will make this experience accessible and enjoyable to ALL!

Play

The Hostel has so many beautiful offerings! Canoeing, enjoying the walking labyrinth, exploring the many trails on the grounds, helping a staff member with a project or dinner, write in your journal, play with your friends at the lake, be barefoot, sit in silence, hula hoop, take photographs, do some more yoga, or maybe sun bathe all day! The possibilities are endless.
